    We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to play a critical role in our fast-growing, non-traditional, technology company.

    In this role the Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects from planning through completion and ensuring client satisfaction by delivering unparalleled service. Provides overall project management support for several small to medium projects.

    This role will work with clients to assess scope of work, schedule and resources necessary to successfully complete a project, prepare a complete estimate for selected project with a detailed review of plans, specifications and bid form.

    The Project Manager will have strong and effective communications skills to coordinate with a cross-functional team to meet very aggressive performance, cost and schedule goals.  These communication skills will be critical when partnering with management, preparing all change orders on the project, negotiating all change orders on the project.

     

    This role will drive to establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policies. Since we are developing high technology lighting fixtures, experience working with an Engineering team is very important.  

    The Position

    • Develops work statements, scope/priority definitions, and schedules for assigned programs.
    • Develops documents to meet client requirement and needs.
    • Monitors program status and identifies risks.
    • Documents program progress including implementation, timelines, issues, risks and successes to maintain program course.
    • Maintains grade and quality of program deliverables within defined and agreed upon program requirements.
    • Identifies and resolves matters of significance impact the productivity of assigned programs.
    • Collaborates with team members to anticipate and manage changes to projects.
    • Determines when additional resources are needed, plans for and adjusts as needed.
    • Gathers feedback from client on program results; analyzes feedback and incorporates same into future programs.
    • Delivers planned program on agreed upon budget with Finance.

    The Person

    • Bachelor degree in Engineering discipline or similar field
    • 3 years experience as a Project Management role - can be a combination of training, education and relevant work experience
    • MUST HAVE: Hardware product development experience
    • Agile project management methodology preferred
    • Effective performance management skills
    • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
    • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
    • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
    • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others
    • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel etc)
